Clínica del Pie la Malagueta was the first podiatry clinic in Malaga to integrate an ultrasound system. The ultrasound scanner works with the emission and reception of ultrasound with which we can obtain precise images of structures such as muscles, tendons, ligaments, bursae, nerves, arteries and joints.

The exploratory test with ultrasound is ideal as a complement to the physical examination of the patient to establish an accurate diagnosis and therefore an adequate treatment.

It is a fundamental working tool in the practice and with it we will be able to:

What are the advantages of foot ultrasound?

Fast and accurate diagnosis in the same office.
It is a NON-INVASIVE test and does not cause discomfort.
The images produced are very safe and do not use radiation.
Less expensive than other diagnostic tests.
Image in real time, so we can assess the movement of the structure (tendons, muscles…).
Alternative to Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) in the identification of soft structures, for those patients with claustrophobia who do not want or cannot enter the MRI tube.
Ultrasound is faster than MRI and does not require the patient to remain completely still, allowing imaging – in children without the need for sedation.
